Position Summary

We are seeking experienced employment attorneys to join our highly talented San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Francisco offices. The attorney will focus on defending clients in single plaintiff employment litigation (in court and arbitration) and investigating and responding to administrative charges. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of employment litigation experience in single plaintiff employment litigation. Duties include, but are not limited to, internal investigations, legal research, preparing discovery and taking/defending depositions, drafting motions and pleadings, and representing clients at court conferences, hearings, and trial. Some counseling experience is a plus but not required. Candidates must have exceptional personal interaction skills and an excellent academic background, proven skills in writing, analysis, research, and be a self-starter, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced litigation environment. Must be comfortable handling court appearances and have some experience participating in depositions and mediations. Must be a team player and a self-starter who possesses strong organizational skills. Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies

• Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings

• Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action

• Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions

• Communicate with partners, associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently

Qualifications & Requirements

• Candidates must be licensed to practice in California

• Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients

• Ability to work with partners and other attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base

• Member in good standing

• Successful completion of the bar exam

• Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school

• 1850 billable hours
