JOIN MEMBERS COMMITTED TO DEI

CMCP members understand the work required to advance opportunities for attorneys of color.

Business attorneys from legal departments, public agencies, legal services providers, and law firms of all sizes gain the greatest value from membership by getting actively involved, advocating in their organizations and connecting with the leaders and future leaders in our organization.

ATTEND CMCP EVENTS

CMCP events offer members an opportunity to connect with attorneys of all experience levels and build authentic business relationships.

CMCP events and programs emphasize interactivity; members are encouraged to network and engage in conversation as part of the overall experience.

Both in-house and outside counsel attend events knowing they will be joined by leaders, peers, and colleagues who value diversity, equity, and inclusion and are committed to advancing opportunities for attorneys of color in the legal sector.

PARTICIPATE IN OUR SIGNATURE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS

CMCP signature events are valued by both law firms and legal departments for corporate and public agencies.

  • The Annual Business Conference is a two-day event packed with business networking and educational programming with attorneys of color centered in the roster of speakers, program topics, and DEI issues addressed throughout.

  • Corporate Connections – speed networking interviews for the busy executive seeking an efficient and effective opportunity to meet diverse law firm representatives.

  • Counsel Connect – small group networking with attorneys of color in the same practice area.

  • Women of Color Conference – our stand-alone conference for women of color business attorneys to listen, share, and connect.

ACTIVATE WITH THE AMBASSADORS COUNCIL

The mission of the CMCP Ambassadors Council includes expanding CMCP’s reach and effectiveness by connecting and creating programming primarily for junior lawyers (law firm non-partners and in-house non-managers).

CREATE A CUSTOM PROGRAM/EVENT

Sponsor a monthly event, a custom program, or the Annual Business Conference to connect with our dynamic, and engaged members.

Propose topics and speakers that align with CMCP’s mission and build your brand.

RECRUIT DIVERSE TALENT

The CMCP Job Bank is open to and freely searchable by the public, and lists openings at top corporate legal departments and law firms for attorneys of color looking for employment or to make a transition.

Members are eligible for complimentary postings.

Sponsorship of the Job Bank provides enhanced visibility of job postings.

JOIN THE CONFERENCE COMMITTEE

The CMCP Conference Planning Committee plays an integral role assisting in content planning and program development for CMCP’s signature event of the year, the Annual Business Conference.

Conference Committees are also convened for one-day conferences; such as the Women of Color Conference.
