Position Summary:

Burke, William & Sorensen’s Public Law Group has an immediate need for a skilled and motivated attorney with a minimum of 6 – 10 years’ experience advising public agencies in the areas of general municipal law, the Brown Act, conflicts of interest, public contracts, code enforcement, land use, and CEQA. The preferred candidate will have acted as an assistant or deputy city attorney, and will have regularly represented planning commissions or equivalent public bodies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Act as assistant or deputy city attorney and other duties as assigned.

Skills and Competencies:

Key qualifications include excellent writing and research skills, superior public speaking ability and the ability to immediately work directly with clients. Experience handling public meetings essential.

Qualifications:

6 to 10 years’ experience advising public agencies.
