Counsel Connect

Small group networking by practice area

CMCP Counsel Connect creates an opportunity for in-house counsel legal departments and counsel from law firms practicing in the same area of substantive law to meet in small groups to discuss their practice area and explore efforts to drive diversity in the legal sector.

What's the fastest and most efficient way to expand your business network with qualified leads?

Legal department attorneys will be  assigned to a discussion group  in their respective  practice area and CMCP will match law firm attorneys in the same practice area (maximum 2 law firm attorneys per firm.)

Each group may include two (2) legal department attorneys and six (6) law firm attorneys for a discussion group of 8 total participants per practice area (practice areas may have multiple discussion groups.)

Law firm attorneys will be assigned to groups for each round based on (3) availability of openings (2) practice areas selected during registration, and (1) time of registration (first come first served.) No more than two attorneys from a company or law firm will be included in a discussion group.

I enjoyed meeting new diverse attorneys and also reconnecting with others.  Our two breakout sessions were fun and full of conversation, and we do think the program was valuable in helping us meet prospective new outside counsel."
