Corporate Connections

A unique and highly successful CMCP opportunity for in-house attorneys and outside counsel to meet one-on-one for focused 15-minute interviews, and begin to establish or strengthen an already existing relationship.

Corporate Connections is a great way for in-house lawyers to meet and begin conversations with minority outside lawyers, and serves as a perfect venue and safe environment in which minority law firm associates can practice their interview skills and participate in business development pitches.

CLE Speakers for In-House Members

CMCP members get priority for potential speaking opportunities on CMCP-produced panels & programs at member corporations and/or other venues with participation from all CMCP member types on panels & programs produced by CMCP in coalition with other diversity organizations.

CMCP can also find high-quality member minority attorneys to give CLE presentations in corporate law departments tailored to a company’s specific needs, or minority attorneys with required expertise to bring into existing law department training programs.

CMCP’s easy to use, readily searchable database of CMCP-member attorneys of color by member type, with individual areas of expertise and contact information.

In-House members can use the Minority Lawyer Locator when seeking minority attorneys for outside legal work or potential in-house hires, and law firm members can use the Minority Lawyer Locator to assist in marketing and networking with member minority in-house counsel.

The CMCP Job Bank lists open attorney positions at corporate legal departments and law firms. Companies and firms can reach highly qualified minority attorneys for their open attorney positions and get top candidates in the door.

The CMCP Job Bank is open to and freely searchable by the public, and lists a variety of openings at many top corporate legal departments and law firms for attorneys of color looking for employment or to make a transition.

Participation in

Subcommittees

CMCP member attorneys can volunteer on a subcommittee to showcase their talents and expand their networks, whether by helping to design the next signature CMCP Annual Business Conference or producing and managing the creation of articles on substantive law issues for the CMCP Newsletter. Ad hoc committees are also formed from time to time to undertake specific projects.

Membership Types and Annual Dues

CMCP membership dues are payable annually; January 1, for members on a calendar-year dues cycle and July 1,  for members on a mid-year dues cycle.

Contributions or gifts to CMCP are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for Federal income tax purposes. However, they may be tax deductible under other provisions of the Internal Revenue Code.

Credit card payments will be charged a 3%  processing fee per payment.
