Twilio is growing rapidly and seeking a VP of Legal, Corporate.  This leader will be a key member of the legal leadership team, with responsibility for guiding activities within the legal team and providing legal counsel to the company’s legal, finance and executive teams, as well as the Board of Directors and its committees.


Twilio is seeking a leader with a proven track record across multiple subject matter areas.  In this role you will have primary responsibility for advising on and directing corporate legal matters relating to public company reporting and corporate governance, M&A, ESG, investor relations, subsidiary management, international expansion and equity operations.  This role additionally involves providing legal support and advice regarding disclosure requirements, 34 Act filings, proxy statement and other matters related to SEC regulation.  You will also be called upon to lead all aspects of M&A activities and ongoing international expansion.  You thrive in an environment that requires you to adapt to changing priorities and organizational needs. In addition, you will operate independently in a fast-paced, high growth environment and be comfortable working collaboratively and proactively within legal as well as across other functional teams and with external partners.  You will interact frequently with the executive team and the BOD, and you should be comfortable doing so.

  • Proven experience (at least 7 years in-house) and minimum 15 years of leadership experience in building, running and/or developing robust teams required
  • Deep familiarity and demonstrated experience with corporate transactional matters, integration efforts, M&A, securities, ESG and investor relations and with managing each of these pieces through significant organizational growth
  • High comfort level with a wide range of legal issues and subject matters
  • Skilled, effective and empathetic manager who can empower team members to achieve at a consistently high level
  • A confirmed ability to effectively influence, lead, collaborate with and empower others at all levels
  • High personal standards of excellence and ethics, as well as the ability to act with discretion, strict confidentiality and sensitivity towards issues and individuals

In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Twilio’s reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role hired in Colorado.

Salary: $300,000-$320,000

Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan.
