Position Summary
As a member of the Corporate and Commercial Practice Group, this attorney will focus on supporting Kaiser Permanente’s inpatient and outpatient pharmacy operations focusing on complex transactional and regulatory work supporting managed care pharmacy operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Primary legal support for Kaiser Permanente’s national pharmaceutical sourcing, contracting, and pharmacy benefits teams.
Negotiate and draft a wide range of pharmaceutical-related agreements, including purchase, rebate, PBM, payor, service fee, and other agreements.
Advise pharmacy operations leadership on legal and regulatory matters related to drug access, distribution, pricing, 340B, and reimbursement through private and government payors.
Collaborate with organizations government relations team on a variety of state and federal legislative initiatives involving pharmaceutical matters.
Skills and Competencies
Experience directly advising pharmaceutical manufacturers, PBMs, or pharmacies.
Qualifications and Prior Experience
A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience, including at least three (3) years directly advising pharmaceutical manufacturers, PBMs, or pharmacies.
Education
Bachelors degree. Juris Doctorate degree required.
