You will help the team in identifying and investigating activity that could pose a risk of sanctions and related financial crimes in support of all legal and regulatory requirements. – Assist senior management in overseeing all aspects of Apple’s sanctions compliance program
– Responsible to ensure compliance with US, EU, UN and other country targeted sanctions and restrictive measures
– Responsible for execution and continuous improvement of Apple’s sanctions compliance program, including policies, procedures, risk assessment, compliance trainings, and interdiction systems
– Responsible for reporting rejected transactions, blocked property, and other similar compliance actions to applicable authorities
– Stay on top of regulatory developments and publish guidance to internal partners
– Secure specific licenses and other similar approvals as needed
– Direct sanctioned party review process and provide guidance to alert review personnel
– Manage, coach and strengthen a team of talented team members
– Develop and maintain program level KPI
– Provide consultation to internal business partners on evolving sanctions, emerging issues, remedial actions, and enhancements to the program
– Guide and lead investigation of customers, business partners, and transactions in accordance with established policies and procedures
– Liaise with third parties on compliance data, tools, environment, and corrective actions as needed
– Ability to analyze and decision unusual findings that might be related to sanctioned individuals, terrorist financing, law enforcement, or other criminal activities
• 3+ years of leading sanctions compliance teams in US and/or EU
• Expertise and experience in US and EU sanctions laws and regulations
• Experience in reviews, investigation, and resolution of sanctions, fraud or related terrorist financing issues
• Experience in using industry standard sanctions screening systems/tools
• Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative, and adaptive
• Excellent analytical and problem solving techniques
• Ability to apply sound ethical judgement
• Ability to multitask; must be organized and detail oriented
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company personnel
• Proficiency in using Apple platforms, software and services; MS Office
• Knowledge of AML, KYC, and FinCEN a definite plus
– Master’s degree is a plus
– CAMS/CGSS preferred
