Position Summary
Burke, Williams & Sorensen, LLP, California’s preeminent public agency law firm, invites candidates to apply for an associate position in the firm’s Public Law Practice Group. The firm currently serves the legal needs of over 200 local governmental entities, including cities, counties, and other special districts. In this position, you will have a hands-on role with public agencies and elected officials advising them in the areas of general municipal law, the Brown Act, conflicts of interest, public contracts, code enforcement, land use, and zoning. Our San Diego-based attorneys supervising this position are committed to creating client opportunities.
The preferred candidate will have two to three years of related experience or a strong desire to work with public agency clients in an advisory capacity.
The pay scale for associates at Burke ranges from $135,000 – $200,000 plus annual performance based bonuses. The actual salary within that range will depend on the selected candidate’s years of practice and experience. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
