Position Summary
Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, is seeking a highly qualified associate with two to four years of privacy and data security experience to join our firm.
Ideal candidates will have substantial experience counseling clients on privacy and data security matters, including those related to regulatory compliance, governance and transactions. Experience with incident response, investigations and/or litigation is a plus but not a prerequisite. Experience developing proactive programs to comply with federal, state, and international cybersecurity and privacy laws and regulations is preferred. Additional background in or familiarity with emerging technologies (including artificial intelligence), advertising and marketing, and/or product development is welcome.
Duties and Responsibilities
Two to four years of meaningful privacy and data security experience in an in-house or law firm environment
Outstanding academic credentials
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong research and analytical skills
Bar membership in good standing in the jurisdiction in which you plan to practice
