Position Summary
Burke, Williams & Sorensen is seeking two associate attorneys with 3-6 years of litigation experience to join the firm’s Oakland office. These positions will focus on constitutional law, civil rights, public agency, 42 U.S.C. section 1983, class action, complex tort litigation, writs and appeals and land use disputes. Previous experience with public agency clients and civil rights litigation is preferred but not required. The ideal candidates will have had experience taking and defending depositions, law and motion practice, propounding and responding to written discovery, managing large document review projects, and working with experts. The compensation range for associates at Burke ranges from $135,000 – $200,000 plus annual performance-based bonuses. Actual salary within that range will depend on the selected candidate’s years of practice and experience. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
