Position Summary:
Ropers Majeski’s growing and dynamic litigation practice has an opportunity for a Litigation Associate with a minimum of three years of civil litigation experience to join our Los Angeles, California office. Responsibilities will include a focus on real estate representing developers and subcontractors in residential and commercial construction defect cases, disaster remediation disputes, and real estate transaction disputes related to the sale or purchase of residential property. You will also work on general liability matters representing resorts, hotels, retail stores, commercial properties, security companies, and auto insurance carriers in negligence and premises liability cases.

The base salary range for this position is $130,000 – $150,000 commensurate with experience. Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include a focus on real estate representing developers and subcontractors in residential and commercial construction defect cases, disaster remediation disputes, and real estate transaction disputes related to the sale or purchase of residential property. You will also work on general liability matters representing resorts, hotels, retail stores, commercial properties, security companies, and auto insurance carriers in negligence and premises liability cases.
Qualifications:
JD from an ABA-Approved law school, with excellent academic credentials.
Minimum of three years of general civil litigation experience, including experience defending commercial disputes, personal injury lawsuits, and premises liability actions in State Court.
Ability to manage cases from inception through trial, including preparation of pleadings, motions, and briefs, managing discovery, preparing for depositions, and conducting legal research, analysis, and writing.
Experience with Federal Court is a plus, but not required.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and e-discovery platforms.
Excellent writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a timely and professional manner.
Current CA Bar admission in good standing is required. NV Bar admission is a plus.
