As an Attorney in SCE’s Law Department, you will play a key role in all legal issues affecting the utility. We need you to represent SCE in state and federal court on litigation matters involving general business, contract disputes, bankruptcy, real property issues, personal injury and property damage claims.
Detailed work you will be doing…
-Practice involves, without limitation, all forms of civil litigation, and alternative dispute resolution, including filing and defending actions up to and including trial/arbitration.
-Practice may also include representation of company interests before state and federal agencies (e.g., the CPUC, FERC, and CalOSHA).
-Advise client organizations in identifying and resolving tort related legal, business and strategic issues related to general business claims and liability.
Qualifications you need…
-Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited nationally recognized law school.
-Member of the State Bar of California.
-In your 4th year or greater of practicing law since passing the bar.
-Graduation in top 50% of law school class from a first‑tier law school (i.e., top 20 law school) or in top 20% of law school class of a second‑tier law school
