SUMMARY:CMCP (Virtual) Corporate Connections
DESCRIPTION:CMCP (Virtual) Corporate Connections \nCorporate Connections is an opportunity for in-house attorneys to meet with outside counsel for interviews to establish or strengthen a long-term business relationship. \n\n\nHow Do I Participate in Corporate Connections?\n\n\nLaw Firm Attorneys: Law Firm attorneys must be employed by a CMCP member law firm\, or join CMCP as an Individual with membership dues paid before the close of program registration. To confirm your membership status\, visit https://cmcp.org/members/. \nCorporate Connections in-house counsel participants commit to providing Attorneys of Color from law firms with access to business development. Please respect this mission when registering law firm attorneys to participate in the program. If you have questions\, please contact CMCP Executive Director Robert White at rwhite@cmcp.org. \nCMCP assigns Corporate Connections interviews based on a law firm (not an individual attorney.) Each law firm is responsible for designating the individual(s) or team to attend scheduled interviews. Each attorney who attends interviews must be registered for general program registration. Attorneys representing the firm should be well prepared and able to discuss concisely the relevant practice area. Interviewers expect to meet with attorneys of color with expertise in the designated practice areas. \nIn-House Counsel: CMCP member organizations (companies and public agency legal departments) and Non-Member Companies and Public Agencies may participate in Corporate Connections. Attorneys must complete the program registration before the Corporate Connections registration deadline. Additionally\, CMCP must expressly confirm availability and interviews in the in-house attorneys’ selected practice areas. For more information\, email corporateconnections@cmcp.org. \nEvery attorney who attends Corporate Connections interviews must be registered for the program. Attorneys representing the firm should be well prepared and able to discuss concisely the relevant practice area. Interviewers generally expect to meet with attorneys of color with expertise in the designated interview practice areas. \nDO NOT MATCH REQUESTS: CMCP understands there may be companies\, public agencies\, or law firms with which an organization cannot meet due to conflicts or other reasons. \n\nDetails: \n10:15 – 1:15 pm (PST) \nPre-scheduled Interviews (Virtual) \nCost: \n$350 for Outside Counsel per Attorney \nImportant Dates: \nFebruary 20: Registration Closes/Do Not Match requests due to CMCP \nFebruary 23: Getting to “Connection” Workshop (CCNX registration required) \nFebruary 28: 1st draft Schedule of Interviews sent to In-House/Outside Counsel \nMarch 6: Schedule of Interview revisions due to CMCP \nMarch 9: Final Schedule of Interviews sent to In-House/Outside Counsel \nMarch 23: LIVE CMCP Corporate Connections (Virtual) \n\nWho Can I Meet with at CMCP Corporate Connections?
