Doing Good to Build Your Network: Successful Law Firm and Corporate Legal Department Collaboration on Pro Bono Projects
June 19, 2018
San Francisco
Pro bono and community service is core to most lawyers, but can be difficult to execute in the corporate environment. Partnerships of firms and legal departments provide valuable support for underserved communities and create opportunity for diverse attorneys to give back and to grow their professional networks that can lead to direct work and a book of business (i.e., power in the law firm hierarchy), as well as skills and leadership development. A panel of committed pro bono lawyers at firms and in-house will discuss hurdles and best practices in pro bono projects and provide an instructive case study on a successful law firm – legal department pro bono program.
