Welcome to the California Minority Counsel Program’s website. CMCP’s mission is to promote diversity among the state’s attorney population, and thereby advance a more inclusive and just legal profession. As the state grows increasingly more diverse, it is imperative to have lawyers of different backgrounds to understand and serve the needs of these incredibly diverse communities and ensure a more inclusive legal profession. CMCP envisions a legal profession in which race and ethnic background are no longer factors impeding opportunities for entry and advancement in the law. We invite you to learn more about our program and join us in this goal!
